Chop Salon was first established in 2009. After 9 years in Berkeley we decided to rebrand and expand, we moved to beautiful El Cerrito, California in 2018. We want to thank all of our guests for supporting us through the years! We love being apart of the East Bay life and a vital part of a beautiful community.

Chop Salon has gone green. We want to put our health and the health of the environment first. Becoming a Sustainable Beauty Salon is the new Luxury Salon. We have handpicked Davines and Kevin Murphy, companies who both have a message of their own to support us in becoming a Sustainable Beauty Salon. Both Davines and Kevin Murphy will help us in our efforts to give beautiful hair to you while maintaining quality products that deliver the best results possible. Each line is completely green and environmentally friendly. I can’t wait to share all the amazing things these lines do to give back, it’s truly incredible.

Chop Salon is as Eco friendly as possible. At Chop Salon, we have found many biodegradable, recyclable, water saving, energy reducing, reusable products, while supporting B-corps and Eco friendly vendors at all possible. These changes will only encourage us all to put what is important to us first and promote a healthy future. As a small business, we also realized we can do our own part in the fight against climate change.

As for our expertise here at Chop Salon, we are always continuing to educate ourselves and hone in on our craft. The staff here at Chop Salon, continue to learn, practice, explore, and expand our knowledge in our skills.. With trends, styles, and looks always changing, we give our best to service you.
